Futures trading risk
Trading futures involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. Leverage means a small market move can produce large losses, and you can lose more than your initial deposit.
Automation risk
Automated systems can fail. Internet or broker outages, software errors, delayed or missed alerts, rejected orders, and partial fills can lead to unintended positions or losses. Monitor your accounts regularly.
Risk limits are not guarantees
Daily loss thresholds, contract caps, and flatten commands reduce but do not eliminate risk. Fast markets, gaps, and outages can produce losses beyond your configured settings.
Prop-firm accounts
Proprietary trading firms set their own rules, including restrictions on automated trading. Violating them can result in account termination and forfeited fees. Confirm your firm's current rules before connecting.
Hypothetical performance
Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain inherent limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown.
Not investment advice
